CEROCSHOPS

Cerocshops are intensive four hour weekend workshops. They are designed to give you a helping hand when it comes to mastering the moves.  With a restricted number of couples per workshop, the atmosphere is very relaxed and the teacher is able to spend time helping you to develop your style and technique.

Booking

Cerocshops cost $30.00 per person.  Once we post the dates of our workshops, it will be a first come first serve basis.  If you would like to receive an email of when the first Cerocshop in Jacksonville, Florida will take place, email us at cerocus@gmail.com .  During the first few months of Ceroc U.S. being open, we will offer only Beginners I & Beginners II workshops.

Beginners I & Beginners II

These workshops are designed for people with very little or no dance experience and gives you a bump start to help you on your way.

There are 19 beginners moves, which are covered in two beginners Cerocshops. Half of the moves are covered in the Beginners I Cerocshop and half are covered in Beginners II.

Both of these Cerocshops are aimed at complete beginners, so it does not matter which order you attend them in i.e. you could do the Beginners II before you do the Beginners I.

As well as being taught the moves you will also learn how to string them together so you can "freestyle" your way through a dance.

Beginners Plus *

Beginners Plus is designed to consolidate what you have learned in Beginners One and Two.

In these classes, "families" of moves will be explained in more detail e.g. you will already have learnt the Yoyo in Beginners Two, then in Beginners Plus you will learn up to five variations that make up the Yoyo family. This will greatly increase the number of moves you have in your repertoire to use in freestyles, without actually having to learn completely new moves.

As you already know the Beginners moves, Beginners Plus will be taught at a faster rate than Beginners One and Two.

Intermediate I

This workshop is designed for those people who know the beginners moves (and can dance them in time to the music) but would like help with some of the more difficult intermediate moves.

Again, a maximum of ten couples enables the teacher to spend more time in individuals.

NB The teacher will use beginners moves without teaching them.

You must only apply when you are confident with these moves or else you will be unable to keep up and you will hold the others back.

Intermediate II

This workshop is designed for those people who have already done the Intermediate Cerocshop Part One and would like to complete another Cerocshop with new, even more challenging moves.

Intermediate Plus *

Intermediate Plus follows on from Intermediate One and Two. In these classes you will look at a selection of the intermediate moves, examine their particular variations and see how they have developed and evolved. Again, this is a great way to increase your repertoire of moves without actually learning any completely new ones.
